I have placed a widget on this blog for Connect a Million Minds. This is an initiative to connect our youth to after-school activities that are STEM related. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. These resources can empower our youth with the vital skills needed to obtain future jobs that will more than likely require STEM skills. Let's spark their interest by introducing them to exciting after-school opportunities in our area. Educators can place the widget on their blogs, wikis, or websites and inform parents about it. All they have to do is enter their zipcode and a list of after-school activities will come up. You can also take a pledge to connect young minds to STEM related activities. My hope is to surpass the 1 million mind goal!
Hopefully, more organizations will provide STEM related activities in our area.
